Default Track Fairing Paint Scheme Poll

I am hoping to get a set of prerashed OEM fairings to use on the track. I would like to repaint them myself . This means it will be done with a $5 can of spray paint from Home Depot or something. No expensive professional paint jobs here. A friend of mine was kind enough to make up a few paint schemes on Photoshop for me. Please vote for the picture you like best. The tank needs to stay red and the front fender is CF, so that will stay black.

This is best in my opinion.
ta hell with the spray can. Go to Home Depot and get the 8 piece 150 psi compressor set for $150 buxxx.....it comes with a pretty decent spraygun (plus other cool tools) and you will have it for many many other uses.
Its just so much better than a can and future value.

Shark #7 looks good. Why not complete the look by painting a small fish on the fender (making it look like the shark is about to eat it)?!?

#9.

I still don't know why more guys don't run their bikes naked... then you don't have to worry about it.

does your track let you have turn signals installed???

i like the shark themes, but i'm not sure if there are no signals... maybe spraypaint yourself some orange eyes or something.

i was suggesting that martin wire up rotating or flashing led's. that wouldn't be TOO distracting on the track.

how about just red? the red/yellow looks like a McDucati. flat black is easiest to do over and over should you crash. my .02

You're just doing track days, right? Not racing it (yet). Set it up like the Penguin bikes - take off all side panels. Add a belly pan (to appease some track day organizations). Sliders and a steering damper. Cheapest way to go.

I voted for #4. I am thinking of getting some track fairings for my 996. In this regard, if I were you, I'd just slap the panels on without even painting them, just in case I crash. Paint them if you've got sponsorship stickeys.

Like I said in the starting post of this thread, the most I plan on spending to paint these fairings is $5/can of spray paint. If I crash, I crash, and buy another can of spray paint when I get home. Busamouse, made a tempting point about the compressor and paint gun. I do need a compressor, but don't know if I'll spring for the paint accessories.

Thanks for the votes everyone!

The reason I like #6 is that the white portion looks like a shark, with the turn signals as the eyes. A little clean-up art (beyond the photo-shop) and that would be a pretty cool graphic.

Well, I will most likely go with option #9 for a paint scheme. Thanks for the opinions everyone. I might paint an eye on there and possibly a squid in the mouth. Whenever this gets done, I'll post a picture of the results.
