Default Black Powder Coated Rims or Stock?

Thinking about powder coating the stock rims gloss black and changing stickers to black ones.
Yes or No?

I like black wheels. Well I like them more than the gold ones anyway. I would do matt black myself, but it is up to you. Go for it.

I'd also go for the black rims. However, I would not go for the glossy finish but rather a semi gloss black. My rims were done in 40% gloss black and they look quite ok.

Save your money for tires. Leave the rims stock... black only looks good when it's a "real" aftermarket rim, like a 10 spoke marchi.

Otherwise, it looks really cheese... like you could afford an Italian superbike, but ran out of money and had to rattlecan your rims to "look" like the real race wheels.

Save that shit for the R-1 crowd.

Go with GLOSS black or go with WHITE rims.. Yeah, white. With that red you will be kickazz.. Super kickazz if you can rail them twistees hard, and pass those naysayers in the tight ones.. And Gloss Black looks 10 times better than ordinary black/semi-gloss black..

Black rims on the red Duc looks killer. Toss in a black frame and you really have a hot looking ride.

Do whatever makes you happy. I like black wheels, however if you want my opinion the black upper looks odd.

Yeah, I bought the bike like that, with the carbon fiber headlight cowling. Thanks all for the input, think i may wait a while and buy some after market black rims or some used 5 spoke marchi and powder coat those.

There's a perfect illustration of why you shouldn't give a flying f*ck what anyone else thinks.

Make your own decision.

The bike is in the UK, it is the Tax Disc. it is like a registration label in Oz and whatever you guys in the States have to prove your bike is registered. Those tyres are phucking ugly though.

Those other R1's look like a couple of guys bikes off the R1-forum. I used to be on that forum, but there are too many dickheads there. I mean look what they do to perfectly good sportsbikes. I like corners myself and didn't buy my R1 just to be a fancy looking squid going fast in a straight line.
