We're like those old guys in muppet show, come winter and we can't ride and the whining starts LOL But this no-riding period gets on my nerves too, so I totally understand Ben.
As for that rear "kind-of-wet-used-to-be-wet-racing-somethingthatlookslikeatyre-thing".... looks nice, it tells a story I guess of what happened earlier on the track, good job tearing it apart
Now I need to make a cup of coffee and whine some more for not having my bike ready....
Post some more pictures that can distract me from learning then
I'll post some ugly ones then so you can go and study instead of lurking here
So... remember that gsxr guy that made me stand up entering the "S" ? Here are a couple before that incident. 1098S, 996R and my 999, both guys are fellow ducatisti and also amateur racers. That was fun ! (I miiiiiiss it )
And since you'll be probably still around (and not studying ), here are a few old and ugly to make you go away
(first one is from my first ever track day on the 999, the next is a couple of years ago when due to an accident I was left with no bike for several months but glad that I still had good friends, that's a Moto Morini 9.5, Great bike too ! And the last is just to make you go away to study, friends showing off before a race: 1098S-999S-999-996R...)
Good times mid summer 2008, Sound of Thunder races in Oschersleben.
I really like this sideview picture where you can see how the rear shock is compressed under heavy accelleration. Makes me believe that R had a good engine
