Can I just say one thing:

NO ONE SEE'S OR CAN SEE WEIGHT ... so for Pete's sake girls stop this stupid thinking about your weight all the time.

If you are worried about your figure (and you have no need to ... but you are a woman ), go to a gym!!!.

All we see is your form, we do not go around with a scale and check on your weight, and weight has not as much as you woman think to do with what you look like. Infact muscle weighs more than fat!

So as my gym instructor keeps saying to all his females in his class ... stop checking your weight, but worry about your muscle toning, as that is what we see .

Pete

Well said Pete, I reckon chicks with shape are far nicer than starved stick insects who think that drapping loose skin over a skeleton looks nice!, they are soooooo wrong.

Yes I agree, but the subtle point I was trying to make is your weight does not define exactly what you look like, more your muscle toning. Many woman think only their weight matters, but take 2 women, both weigh the same; one trains or exercises her body the other doesn't ... which one looks the best: the one that has the better muscle toning. So weight is not as important as they think.

If you do not like your body shape ... don't diet, go to a gym and say 'Heck I don't like my @rse or whatever part' and they will give you exercises that WILL change that parts shape. And guess what?, your weight may not change, might even go up BUT you will LOOK better, sexier, etc. and hopefully (if it is possible for a woman to be happy about her body) feel better.

Worrying about your weight is like worrying about a bikes top speed at the end of the back straight ... when the really important thing is the lap time. Yeah it is important BUT it is not what counts.
Pete
ps: Happy new year Monstaman .

You are very right! I should have been more specific! I do want to tone. I weigh about 147 right now, and I think I looked my best when I was 140. I do workout (well, I was until we started construction of my barn. I'm now spending most of my day out there) I did pudge up a little and was weighing in at 155. I know I could put weight on if I gain muscle. Thats fine. As long as I feel good about myself!

I don't want to look starved, I like my curves, that is what makes me a girl. I don't want to be rock hard, I just want to feel good. I don't diet, I just try to eat healthy. I think diets are the worst thing ever. If I want a piece of cake, I will have it. I just don't eat it everyday. I do cook healthy meals of salmon, chicken, etc. Once in a while, I eat like crap, but who doesn't?

My wife lost 35 lbs doing just that... tried different "diets", low carb things, blah blah blah. Finally I told her that my belief was:

1: Everyone has a pre-programmed weight; shoot for that, not some "target". There's no sense trying to be 115 lbs when you're a 135-140 lb woman.

2: Despite what your parents told you (mine too), you don't have to "clean your plate"; eat til you're full, then stop eating. If there's some left, then save it, or give it to the dog, or throw it away! Don't worry so much about what you eat, just eat less of it.

3: Don't eat a lot of "crap", or low value foods like potatoes, noodles, too much bread, etc. Try to eat moderate amounts of generally healthy food, the fruits and veggies and meats that your body needs...and it will tell you when it needs what. (Ever just get that craving for a big green salad?)

4: On the other hand, if you feel like making a batch of cookies and eating the whole damn thing every once in a while, then do it! It won't kill you, and it won't spoil your "diet". Just remember number 3; all things in moderation.

Once she stopped counting calories and worrying and feeling guilty when she "fell off the wagon", the weight she wanted to lose just...got lost. May not work for every one (and I wouldn't know; I've been 150-155 for years now!), but I think it would for most. Just be sensible.

Thongs, the greatest thing to come along since the advent of the female....

And yes, I like my women, like I like my roads...curvy BABY!

You go Jess, I think your figure looks great, but its all about how you feel! If you tone up, you feel better about yourself, that's a given. I think we all can attest to that, if you improve yourself in anyway, you feel like a new person, smile more, and have that glow.

Well, not the "I just did Scott in the barn" glow though....

I have a bike, and I ride it. I'd give a low down on it here, but then that would take away from my riding time!

Hey, I like skinny women and I like them vuluptuous (sp?) as well. Even though this thread is about the visual side of women (and bikes... ) If you find something that you are looking for in the ballpark, but some things arn't just spot on... personality can more than make up for it. Besides who wants a beautifull woman that is a complete bitch???
