Default Hyper runs crapy @ low rpm...

My new Hyper is GREAT !!!, but at low rpm ( around 2 k ) it just runs so bad that its unridable. Sometimes it just dies abruptly. I had a Monster 750 ( carbs ) which had the same problem, but before that one my 900SS ( f.i. ) was smooth at low rpm.
I have the feeling is running very lean in low rpm, mid & high rpm is just awesome. Dealer says to keep riding it until the first service check and they will look at this, and thats OK.
Question is: Does every Hyper do this ?

No, it should absolutely not run like that! They will take care of you at your 600 service. Go sooner if it is really that bad.

Your kidding right? idle is at 1300 so 2000 is barely off idle..... my god man use the throttle, twist it a little bit. The worst thing you can do during break in is to lug it like that, run it hard to seat the rings properly or it'll be an oil burner in no time. This ain't no harley, even my Paso doesn't like anything below 2,500. Chose the gear to run in by keeping it between 3-5k to maintain your desired speed and both you and the bike will be much happier.

Are you talking about when you are trying to get going from a stop? Or are you trying to cruise at 2000rpm?

I normally ride around 4k, but around town, that rpm in first gear is still too fast for city traffic. If all Hypers behave the same, well thats ok. This is an 1100, but shows no smooth manners at low rpm, I was concerned of having a problem with injection parameters or break-in time.
The very first day I rode this bike, we rented another Hyper and the rented one rode much better, so I do know my new bike has a problem, I am trying to find out if anybody here encountered the same when his bike was new and how it was corrected, perhaps the break-in itself cured it.
I heard of some owners changing sprockets for a higher ratio, but I really like it like it is now, its just a matter of getting used to the new bike.
Thanks for the advice so far to ALL...
JT
