Default HM 2 to 2 performance exhaust

Anyone out there had any experience with the performance increase by adding the 2 in 2 Terminignoni carbon silencer kit ? The term " silencer" bugs me a bit as I want the beast to be louder !

The Termi cans have removeable DB killers so by popping them out they should flow a bit better which I assume is why there is a different chip. They are just slip ons though and still use the stock header and mids so the cat and exup ect... is still there. As of now the only true way to have a straight through flow path is the DP termi 2-1..... until ARC or maybe some of the other after market outfits come out with a full system maybe?

After riding the HM with the Termi 2-2 on the interstate for an hour, I'd say that it should plenty loud for you. We had the baffles out, which is a hoot around town, but on the superslab the noise will get to you after a while. I haven't ridden one without pipes so I can't say for performance increases. You can check out mototune australia for lots of DS1000 dyno runs with various exhausts, but I don't think that they have any 1100 runs up yet.

My HM has the 2-1 system, and my wife's HM has the 2-2 slip-ons, so...

The 2-2 doesn't seem to offer much more performance than stock. However, it definitely sounds great with the dB killers removed. I don't find it all that loud, but if you do, you can always wear earplugs (which you should on any bike anyway, due to wind noise if nothing else).

My 2-1 system is definitely faster than stock, and a tad louder (actually sharper sound) than the 2-2.

I will admit that most onlookers, almost to a person, prefer the way her bike looks with the twin cans. (Part of that may be the fact that her stock carbon side covers remain in place, while mine had to be replaced with ugly plastic ones...)

Both systems offer considerable weight loss - from the bike, as well as the wallet...
