Default Odometer

A friend of mine just picked up a Hypermotard S. Pretty cool, but the odometer is registering approximately 2/3 of the actual miles traveled (i.e., after 100 miles, the odometer reads about 60). Speedo is OK. Anybody else having a problem?

I have the same problem, but it is my tripmeter that is off by exactly a factor of 0.62 (multiply tripmeter reading times 1.61 to get actual miles). This is the exact ration of Km to miles but going the wrong direction. Had the Charlotte, NC shop look at it doing the first service and they said it looked fine to them (although they admit that they didn't go very far). I have verified the odometer with my GPS over 100 miles and it matches up exactly (although speedo is off from 5% to 7.4%). Dealer was going to look into it further. I will post up if I hear anything new.

Quite a few on hypermotard.net have been having issues as well, seems to be a common falt with them.

Think I will wait for Mr.Series two to come out, don't wonna go through another dashboard saga (read MH900e x5)

Did you ever hear anything from Charlotte Wanderer? I am having the same issue with my standard model and would like it fixed. Asheville said they haven't heard of this issue yet, I am taking it in for service next week so they will look at it then. We'll see

Several people at ducati.ms have heard from their dealers that there is, in fact, a service bulletin on the way from Ducati. This seems to be a universal problem with all the HM's...
