I bit the bullet after finnally getting to try the demo out last Sat., I'm buying the demo that has a few goodies already on it. Should be taking delivery within the next 2 weeks once they can release it.

How does it sound with the slip ons compared to the race exhaust?
Dunno didn't hear one yet with the 2-1 system on it. The termis have a bit more throaty sound than the stock cans do on a multi. It's far more quiet than my SS's Ti DP/Remus cans, but I'm pretty sure the db killers slip out of the Termi's.. at least it appears that way.
I think the primary diff with the 2-1 is that it's 10lbs lighter.

The Termi slip-ons and full system both come with removable dB killers. The slip-ons have a fuller, throatier sound. The full 2-1 is louder and crisper. Both sound great. The slip-ons look very nice on the bike (bystanders typically prefer the way the slip-ons look), but the full pipe definitely gives you more power and snappier acceleration...

I wonder if it's actually the pipe that makes the difference or the chip? I'll have to take a looksee at the part #'s on both of the chips to see if they are different next time I stop in.

I think the slippon still uses most of the stock exhaust which includeds a rather large and heavy valve (ExUp) system and that probably contributes to the difference. The full system allows a lot of air movement.

I hope there will be a header and midpipe for the undertails, don't care much for the 2-1 looks wise. And from what I've been told it just doesn't sound "Ducati'ish" more like a parallel twin.

Two weeks are almost over, did you get the bike yet? I realy hope you do, I can't find anybody that is willing to let the demo go, I want one bad.
I've been totally swamped and didn't ride down to chat this week, guess I will call later today and see where things are. The SS is due for it's 6k and I'm hoping to maybe ride to Myrtle beach (500+/- miles) in 2 weeks. I was hoping to just swap bikes and leave the SS there while I was on vacation to be serviced.... we'll see.

You know I thought the same thing until I was in the dealers shop when they got the demo bike and installed the 2-1 side exhaust. When the tech it the switch and it came to life I got a hard-on (I don't get out much). When looking at it from the rear I think the side mount looks better then the underseat exhaust. The slip on is a 1-2 and it takes up a lot of space under the seat.

If you haven't heard the 1098 with the full termi system with the DB killers out then you'd better take paper towels along then when you do.
