Default USA (MSRP manufacturing suggested prices)

this am, federico minoli announced on his desmoblog, what the pricing for the hypermotard will be:

the important stuff for us:
USA (MSRP manufacturing suggested price)
base model: $11.495.00
s model $13.995.00

the whole posting:
Come promesso, ecco in anteprima i prezzi suggeriti per l'Hypermotard:
Italia (prezzo chiavi in mano)
versione base: 11.495 euro versione S: 13.495 euro
USA (MSRP manufacturing suggested price)
versione base: 11.495 dollari versione S: 13.995 dollari
Lamps, Federico

I'm surprised that they can offer it in the US at $11,500 USD when it is 11,500 Euro.

At current exchange rates, 11,500 Euro is $14,950 USD.

Profit margins must be much higher in Europe.

It's ok Dave, we in NZ cover the profits for the US as we seem to get slotted nearly half as much again for a bike and or accessories!!

It is cheaper to buy a bike out of the states and ship it over here, even as a one off civilian, go figure??

........me thinks I will keep a lower profile for a while, people still talk about "the big fire at Makarora" ... then I tell em it was me , bit obvious in a place like this http://www.makarora.co.nz/home.html

I would rather be famous for something cool
