Steve ( or anyone on this list), Please tell me where you would get a mag swing arm with Troy Corsers WSB ohlins shock. That shock is a one off billet Ohlins and it was one of their first shocks to have high and low speed dampening. You think it is crazy money ( because you cant afford it) and someone else thinks it is cheap. I really dont give a rats ass what you think until you are able to come up with WSB parts that were actually used on a Ducati bike ridden in WSB and are documented to that rider. Oh that is right you cant do that so why would you even pipe in with your stupid comment.

I thought you didn´t care?

As we´ve seen in a recent 998R for sale thread, every item is worth as much as a buyer is willing to pay. So good on ya having that kind of stuff. If someone wants a piece of history along with the technical advantages, it will surely be the right thing for him or her. There´s enough people in this scene that tick like that.

Good luck with your sale hailwood.

I don't care, I am just really sick of people putting in their uneducated 2 cents about something that they have no vested interest in nor any intent to actually buy something. Who give a crap about what other people are selling and buying, if you are not a seller or a buyer then just stay out of it. That was my point.

Ben710,

I wish you the very best of luck in your search for the mag swingarm and associated parts. I've been through the drill you are going through and it was a long hard road, fraught with frustration at just about every bend.

IMHO, Hailwood needs no one to come to his defense, but I have seen some of the stuff that BCM gets its hands on (some of it is on my bike), and many times it is "Unobtanium", stuff that is race only that you would never expect to get your hands on...ever, or just one-off stuff (like the TC shock which I have seen in person) that is a work of art that belongs in the Barber Museum.

I remember that I paid more than what BCM was asking for in their package deal for the mag swingarm complete from Ducati (with rear rotor, brake caliper, shock rocker, ride height adjuster, etc.). I suspect that these were leftover actual SBK items that were thrown in the SBK catalog, but both myself (and my dealer at the time) quickly found out that trying to actually get all the parts...as advertised...was an ordeal involving all kinds of people both here and in Italy...and many many weeks of frustration.

Additionally, I've seen several ads claiming to sell actual Ducati Corse SBK parts that were nothing of the sort...something that I'm guessing many of us have encountered. As these "real" parts become more and more scarce, I think they will only appreciate. At least I hope that they do!

Regardless, good luck my friend, and I hope that the Italian connection works for you!
