Why selling it so soon? Did you just bought this 998r from Ebay for $15,000? I remember the pics.

I bought the bike back in December. I am considering selling the bike because I am considering taking advantage of the economy and buying another investment home. I paid more than $15K with all of the spares and accessories. Are you just making conversation or do you want to step up and make a bid on the bike?

Awesome bike though, see them rarely. I would give my right nut for a 998R.

Ha. I am passing the opportunity to own a badass motorcycle along to the members of the forum. Sorry but the market is not exactly saturated with these bikes and for me to part with this one would take what I am offering it at. If you don't have the money or don't think the price is fair keep on looking for a better deal on a 998R. If you are interested in BUYING the bike please send me a PM. Thank you.

Very intelligent post my man. There will be hundreds of RSV4s available in a few months. How many of these have you seen for sale lately??

A more pertanant (to you) question is; how many 998R's have YOU seen SOLD for anywhere near your price in the last year............. That train left the station YEARS ago pal, keep dreaming though, thats what makes this country great, people who dream BIG!

$19k is probably a reasonable expectation if he is serious about selling.

How many 998Rs have been sold period Genius?? I sold my other one for $22K pretty easily so if the right buyer is out there the price is reasonable. The bike is an icon and there are a ton of 1098Rs running around. This bike is rare and special. If you don't already know that then you are not a serious buyer and should be on another thread.

Exactly, shows ya how much of an a-hole the seller is... But hey, why not? I should be asking $15,600 for my 848! LOL

Sell it for whatever you can get. I myself, and probably most other ducati enthusiasts, would rather spend that kind of money (with change to spare) on an sp4/sp5.
