Introducing the new ITX designed, OZ forged aluminum wheels from Italy. Using a proprietery “MSicA” aluminum, OZ Racing has created a stronger and lighter wheel equal in weight to magnesium with all the advantages and durabilty of aluminum..
Fits most modern sportbikes. See our website for applications.
This high quality Italian made wheel includes urethane cush drives (double sided swingarm wheels) and angled aluminum valve stems.
The new OZ wheel is 35% lighter than OEM wheels and 15% lighter than Marchesini forged aluminum wheels. The new OZ wheels are comparable to the weight of magnesium wheels.
We are planning two or three shipments before the end of the year. Contact us early for your choice of custom colors and applications.
Let us know what you are interested in the end of September and we'll pick up the shipping.

Interesting.
How much does a front/rear weigh?
How many people would you consider a group buy?
Let's say there are 5 people in the group, how much is a set going to cost?
of course the more people, the lesser per set will cost.

The wheels weigh slightly less the the forged OEM marchesini wheels and very close to the magnesium wheels. OZ claims: "35% Mass Reduction compared to OEM wheels, 15% Mass Reduction compared to leading aftermarket forged wheels. A weight savings of 2.5 - 3.5 lbs per set over the leading aftermarket wheels". I'll post weights of the wheels once we get some production wheels here onour own scale.
This group buy does not require a minimum amount of buyers. We are doing this to get an idea of how many sets and in what colors we will need on our first 3 or 4 shipments from Italy. We have 8 sets shipping in September that are mostly sold already. We are putting in a few more orders for them to fill as they get ramped up and can ship more.
It is coming up on Winter. We were not planning to go fullbore on the OZ program until 2010. We wanted to get some wheels on bikes before we go full bore next year.
So whoever orders in September/November will get the discounted price and free shipping.

so Moto site doesn't list size...but you do here in the thread as a 6" rear.....there is not a 5.5" option? for 916-998 ?
just to clarify..... > we must register and use password to see the discount and free shipping price ? is that what you are saying ?
i'm interested in 998 wheel set but would like to hear what other custom color and type of finish options are available if so ?
Motowheels has the 916-998 wheels available, its on the website. I never thought I would like 5 spoke wheels but the way these are designed; the sweeping spokes and the indents, these wheels are very cool looking compared to other 5 spoke wheels. I thought the list price on the website was great for what you get, group buy even better. These aren't just 5 spoke wheels, they are an upgraded version.

Some very ncie wheels have been checking them since the beginning of the WSBK season when i seen them at MONZA.
was baout to drop the cash on them for my bike but went with BST wheels instead, but defineately a good 2nd choice..
might look into these for the 1098 now.
