I did. Husky has some utterly phenomenal prices for 2011 bikes right now. I got this beauty for $2,900 less than MSRP for a KX450F. Gateway has never sold a MX bike - they only recently became a Husqvarna dealer. They special ordered this one for me - it arrived in a week.

I'm giving up a Yamaha with dirt and supermoto wheels. There isn't any supermoto happening around here any more. I used to put on supermoto races in Springfield, but the organizing was so much work that I virtually never got to ride. I would get a set of wheels built in a heartbeat if there was a racing series within a day's drive.

The people near a good paved racetrack don't know how lucky they are. Midwest pretty much sucks for that.

As a previous owner of an Italian Husqvarna, I too was horrified in the past two years that BMW would defile this boutique bike maker with their Taiwanese boat anchor motors.
It turns out I was wrong. I'm really pleased with it. It's a powerful bike that is easy to ride. That would be enough for me. But I get a bonus - in the flesh, it's a very good looking bike, very unlike the other bikes in its class.
I would love to read a review a few weeks down the road when you have used it more.
A customer of mine is a Husky dealer. I have always liked the marque, but felt irritated when they started to put ze German design onto the bikes. I have been looking hard at a fuel injected TE 250 he had for sale last year. Bought a Ducati instead, so that didn´t happen. Maybe next year?

Sorry I didn't see this for months - wasn't that a hoot? I answered a question posed on the AMA's facebook page about why I bought my cheap bike (not the Husky) and what I liked about it. They liked my answer, so they arranged a phone interview and a photo shoot. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Here's one of the pics from the shoot:
In my first evening of TT racing on the new bike, I was faster than hell...
and then I crashed and broke nine ribs and a vertebra.
But... six weeks later, I raced again, and got my best ever heat race finish - a third place. I flagged in the main, and dropped back to eighth - maybe not fully healed, and a little easily pooped.
I have also recently taken motocross lessons from Club57MX.com. Well worth the price, very fun. Here's a couple Husky MX pics:
