Question on a 01 CR250 I just got...

I just picked up a 2001 CR250. It's in pretty decent shape and starts up 1st kick everytime. I'm wondering though, how noisy are 2-stroke dirtbike motors supposed to be? I don't mean the obnoxious exhaust note either - it just seems to me that a 2-stroke should be relatively quiet since it has few moving parts.

They make some noise, but it's kinda hard to firgure out if something is wrong without hearing it though. Wish I had more info.
