The drive from Atlanta is a little long, but in July the wife/boy will be out of town for 3weeks @ the inlaws while the wife is on summer break. I have wheels and will travel then.
There's a decent food vendor there. I'll be eating breakfast at the track They got plenty of cool drinks and make breakfast and lunch sandwitches/burgers.

We had a new guy start at our company. He just moved to NC from NJ. He said he used to race motor-cross 4..5 years ago. I've told him about this place, so he went out there while I was @ Barber.
Turns out he was riding the trail, was going over a log, wipe out and broke his collar bone. Talk about a bummer.

I'll be on a white F-150 & will just bring my open trailer. #31 on my WR, also.
I assume, from looking on their site, that I can drop off my membership info. & just pay at the track & not have to ahead of time. Also, do they close if there's rain?
Cool beans. I am in a black F150 with a black enclosed trailer. Mike Sr is in dark red f150.
There are two entrances into the place. East one leads to the intermdiate track. We usually pit there by the trees. West is advanced track.
Just to add, intermediate entrance sorta looks like you just drove onto a lot with a house under construction. Follow the dirt road past the house to the right and you'll come to a gate, this is the start of the intermediate area.
I'll probably be in a white dakota parked next to these guys.

Indeed you can fill out the membership form at the gate. No idea about the rain, but I am pretty sure the trail would be close to unridable in one.
Mike, will Sarah go on the long trail with us? That would be impressive
I'd have to see her go through the short trail first. She seems to be learning the woods stuff fairly quickly. I don't think she's near confident enough to do the long trail right now, but after doing the short trail she might feel differently. Her XR needs tires too, so mud would be a problem. If we get the rain they're predicting for the end of the week the short trail will probably be hard enough for her. I'd like to see her try out the intermediate MX track during the lunch break just for skill building.

Since this is a 'family" event, I'll ask my wife is she want's to go.... Her name is Elaine & she has a TTR 225. I'm pretty sure she'll pass as she's not real comfortable on a dirt bike right now, but I'll give it a go.
Hmm, just found out the white Dakota we planned on borrowing is off limits for the weekend, as is the beat down '89 F150 that was our back-up borrowed truck. We'll have to work out some other way to get there. Worst case, I think I can fit the XR100 into the back of our Mazda3 if I lay it on it's side . . . and maybe remove some pieces.
Ennis, FWIW both my wife and Janis' wife are very new riders, so your wife certainly wouldn't be alone in the "learning to ride" category.
