I'm coming back from a four-day ban for "repeated name calling". I'm not sure what that means exactly, since name-calling is usually a joke here, but since there is no warning posted I thought I'd let everyone know that there appears to be some nebulous rules here about speech. You've been warned.
Anyone else been banned for this?
This seems a little fishy at this point (and I'm not talking nero's pineapple). My ban came at a time when my speech hadn't been in the gutter, I wasn't warned, AND right after I posted a few pro-choice thoughts. At the same time the first Speedzilla anti-choice ad appeared (in 180). It leaves me wondering WTF is going on.
Anyway, watch what you say...and I'm not talking just "name calling". But I agree that there is a little too much of that (from Rocky).

Ben doesn't deserve criticism for not allowing name-calling. It's his site (at least that's what I hear).
What I don't get though is the timing, vis-a-vis 180, the lack of warning, and the way 90% of Rocky's posts are trash talk with not a bit of substance contributed to the conversation.
It's confusing.

But when we call each other names it's not out of hate, it's more like tough love. I'll try to watch myself. Don't count on Rocky doing the same. donīt mistake me "running" the forum. I donīt own this place nor do I work for VerticalScope. I donīt get paid to do this as I have pointed out before.
I am doing this because I have a soft spot for this forum. I really like the educated discussions and have had superb experiences in the Ducati section in recent years. Thatīs about it.
If this was my forum, Iīd remove all the Google adwords scheisse and cut the stupid long 24+h session cookie that makes us all believe that there were really some 3000 users online today, yesterday and yesteryesterday... Plus I would fix the damned smileys.
