Default Maximum Image Size part two.

Dave i ask that you do not change your policy on image size. you already have in the Profile Options the answer to this problem for those who are upset at the size of photos.

there is always the option of turning off the show images when browsing on this forum.

large pictures are great for detail as well as amazing to look at. Dave don't let the cry of the few limit the possibility's of this forum.

Why is it so hard just to post a link to the photo?? Large pictures are fine if you like scrolling back and forth, but it becomes a pain in the ass. I agree large pictures are nice to look at, but just post a link. There is no need to post them in the threads. Just resize them, and if you prefer, you can have the big picture in the link. What is the big deal with doing that?

yes this is reasonable, just as if a picture is to big for ones own liking why not just move on and not complain because some might think it is to big and they think that large photos should not be posted.

or there is always the option of turning off the show images when browsing on this forum. for the overly sensitive.

I understand what you are saying, but if you re-read my post, the problem I have is that you have to scroll back and forth to read the text when the picture is so large. I'm not going to "just move on" because the pic is too big, I still want to read what most people have to say.

I don't want to have to turn off all of the images just because someone posts one or two large pictures.

I just don't see what the big deal is. Just post a resized pic, and for those people who want to see a large pic, post a link. I just don't see what the problem with that is.

how sweet you support each other.

I just don't see what the big deal is either. if you and others who have this need to make an issue from this nonissue just turn off the image option you will not have this problem to complain about and you and others will be able to move on to more pressing urgency's to address in your most important lives.

Apparently you don't understand logic. Feel free to have the last word. I'm done with you.

I agree that big photos are a pain in the butt, and I look forward to Dave's new messageboard format; I'm an admin on other boards and we edit big photos because they're inconsiderate, and make reading of every post difficult.

That's 'difficult' not impossible, and I get over it, but it's just a hassle that can be managed better. If a messageboard or just about anything in life becomes a hassle (traffic, inconsiderate people, poor service, etc.) eventually people make choices to leave or disassociate from that place or service.

Oneducs, you gotta see that. LDH and others have posted pics that are just too big, and I run 19 or 22" monitors on various systems, and it's freakin' lame. People's opinions are valid and important, so I don't think you should slam them for expressing it. You've asked for plenty of advice, or suggestions, so I know you appreciate positive input.
