Default Maximum Image Size!

Okay, this has gotten out of hand. People seem to think there's a point to posting images that are two or three thousand pixels wide. WHY???

I don't need to see motorcycle pictures so big, I can actually see the molecules in the tire tread.

Dave, is there any way to restrict the posting of images to say, 1200 x 1600 MAXIMUM?

instead of having restriction on photos and there size, why not post where some good free photo editing software can be found for resizing photos.

I don't think the problem is people not knowing how to resize their photos. I think they post them large on purpose, which makes reading the entire page difficult. Since every post becomes as wide as the photo, in order to read the text on that page you have to lock onto the bottom scroll bar and flick your mouse back and forth, back and forth, like you're watching a damn tennis match.

It's ridiculous. It's rude, it's annoying, and it's inconsiderate.

And for those who actually want to view an enormous picture, the poster can simply post a hyperlink to the image without disrupting the entire page...

ya you were pussy but instead of asking me if i would resize the picture i posted. you decided to go and try to get Dave to restrict posting pictures to a size you thought was an appropriate size, add one more rule of control to what you can't control and that is what others do. if you don't like the look move on but without the drama scotty.

This won't be an issue in the near future.
