hawk carb issues
First off Hello everyone.
I have a 89 Hawk thats been severly modded (keihin flatslides, 1mm overbore, J&E pistons, M4 high pipe). Unfortunatly I lowsided at about 10 MPH. Minor damage. Bent peg, bent clip-on and dented tank. I also have the Hi-per pro frame sliders. The slifer that touched down also slightly dimped the header on the right hand side. Anyways my problem is that under load at WOT (i.e I whack the throttle) the bike suffers from symptoms that look like vapor lock. The engine starts to die and to save it I ussually have to pullin in the clutch and bring up the revs. Now the weird thing is that the gas tank over flow is pissing gas at this point. I've check that the fuel pump is ok and I've ridden with the gas cap open and the same happens. Any suggestions anyone?
