We've done quite a few rides between 100-200 miles with no ass complaints. My wife tells me it's about the same as the position on most of the cruisers we've sat on which I find hard to believe. I don't know if you noticed it but my tail piece is not normal duc equipment. The bike is a 95 900ss/sp that I installed a solo tail on and painted up like a superlight. After hearing my wife complain about not being able to go out on the duc anymore I bought a used R6 pillion seat and modified the seat pan to match the solo tail and sculpted a piece of 2" seat foam from sargaent.I then welded up a small framework out of 1" tubing so that the seat was self supporting and incorporated the old seat latch so that I now have a nice storage compartment that I can easily access. This places the rider mutch higher than the normal ss which I am sure makes a big difference. She shattered her tibia about 10 years ago so after about 75 to 100 miles I start feeling her good knee start digging into my side but someone with a good knee may not have any problems.
