Fuel injection mantra #1:
FUEL FILTER FUEL FILTER FUEL FILTER FUEL FILTER.

If you repeat this enough it will calm your nerves. If the bike has had no other changes and it starts to backfire, check the fuel pressure, or just replace the filter. ALternatively check the feed and return lines INSIDE the tank for a split hose.

BACKFIRE = LOW FUEL PRESSURE in 90% of cases.
