That would be the dream HB. To have someone here in SoCal we could trust to do that job would be ideal, but the one guy who was promising got hired by Ducati Corse in Italy. Tom (Infoage) talked to him at great length and it sounded like he might be the guy, but then he went racing. I just trust Doug Lofgren to do my tuning and Im going back this spring to race at BIR so I can kill 2 birds with one trip. As of now Ive actually turned wreenchs on the Monster to get the 800 engine in it and the ECU is boxed and going to Doug to get an 800 map put in it. Then it'll get tuned when it goes back.

Im not saying that there are no competent tuner is SoCal, there are. I just have my preferance and many others from the West side of the country do as well. Just ask GaryM, Art Ramos and Matt Smith to name a few.
To say its FIMs fault is unfair, its the FIM dealers who have the capability to do this that are letting us down. It seems to be easier for them to get a chip or ECU from Duane and just sell it over the counter, and then not have to worry about it any more. What we need is more dealers like Dave R (DucSea) or Jason (Sect8) guys who actually give a rats ass about how motorcycles run and not try to tell us that it'll be really close with this.
