So when laying a negative mold - the first pieces of the fabric will be what is showing.....Right?

I would think that would would be harder to achieve the finish you would like as you wouldn't be able to see the actual outside layer that will be visible. I'm going to have to give this a try sometime - maybe I'll make a set of dishes out of carbon fiber for when my family comes to visit
