I couldn't agree more. The Republican establishment picks the candidate, not the people. I am a Newt fan and believe that he is a fighter that would have really been able to take it to Obama but the establishment hates him. They trotted out every establishment windbag to trash him (Rove, Will, Krauthammer, Hume, etc.), then spent millions through Romney's various pacs trashing him often using a false narrative. When that didn't work, they went after Adelson, Newt's biggest contributor (not many people know this)... Even if you don't like Newt, you should be disgusted with the establishment, their tactics and the Romney smear machine. Just ask Fred Thompson, Rudy, Huckabee, Newt, Cain and Santorum (victims all). You don't destroy conservative Icons in your own party especially on behalf of a candidate who has a truly dubious conservative past. The only way Romney was able to destroy his opposition was by outspending them as much as 20 to 1 and the use of the establishment hacks by going on every political show as a "neutral" third party that just eviscerated Romney's opposition. These tactics will not work going up against the Billion Dollar Obama Machine and the main stream media. I will support him because our country is in such dire straits but fear that we may be screwed!

Big party tonight at Romney's house. But don't expect Mitt to get much of a bounce in percentage among Republicans. Gingrich and Paul will benefit from Santorum's departure, but it is too little too late.
Meanwhile, Obama will not even bother to make a packing list to leave the White House. He is practically guaranteed a second term against Romney.
Great f*&^ing job Republicans. You had three years to groom someone to go against Obama and the best you can come up with is a flip-flopping game show host with a religion that makes your base uncomfortable.
