[Doughnut Spaghetti]

So I just got back from the shop and mentioned I was going to get into track soon and told the guy I had a RC51. The first thing he said was to get something that newer that you could buy parts for.

Every time I mention I have a RC51 people look at me like I have the rarest bike in the world which is actually kinda cool because one of the reason I bought a 51 is the fact that it's kinda rare. But, I can honestly say that it's not really hard to find parts for this bike. Aside from this site, there is sh!t loads of parts and info all over the internet about this bike.

So I want some of you track guys to chime in and let me know what I'm getting into because I'd like to take my bike to the track someday. I mentioned at said shop I'd like to start out with a SV650 and he just said it didn't matter, I'd still be running in the same class and should just get a 600. I already have accesss to a race prepped F4. It doesn't really matter much to me if I win, Its more important that I get out and ride. I always thought as SV was very cheap to maintain and would be a great starter track bike. How bout the RC51, I always thought it was a track bike first and a street bike second.

It's just crazy how misunderstood the RC51 is to most people. Especially young people.
