I agree; if you have kept up on oil changes and your bike has not had any real bad cases that it over heated to the point of boil over i would not tear it down.
Maybe inspect the valves and clutch and general maint items but i seen no need for going deep at that many miles.
Granted all bikes are different; but i dyno tuned a 2002 GSXR750 with about 1500 miles after i bought it new. Several years later i had an opportunity to put it on the same dyno with over 38k on it...came within .5 of a hp....and who knows that could have been the temp or tire. I did trackdays and drag racing along with stunting type crap with the bike.
