It sounds like you may have caused a short in the PC harness with the seat. Is the harness coming out of the PC bent or strained at a severe angle? Is there any visible damage to the PC harness? If I remember correctly the PC wires are 18 ga. or smaller, so they could be smashed and shorted pretty easily. You could split the shrink wrap or loom off of the harness and check to see if there are any bare wires exposed along the length. That seems to be the likely culprit.
