What's that saying? When the inmates run the asylum?

And in case anyone missed it, here's the 60 Minutes piece on gun shows and no background checks. Commercials included .

Gun Rush - 60 Minutes - CBS News
When the "liberal" (read fascist) government you support and whose propaganda you spit out at every opportunity turns on you, and mark my words, they will someday, how do you plan to protect your constitutional rights?

Are you going to blow smoke in thier faces? Use harsh language? Reason with them? Maybe spout the old hippie standby "Can't we all just get along?"

Almost nothing will stop them in their unquenchable quest for power and their agenda for increasing public dependence upon the state. They are Hell bent on removing free will, personal responsibility, and individual prosperity from the face of this nation.

The only thing standing between this current regime and the sanctity of our Constitution and our God granted freedoms are people who recognize how fragile our freedoms are, how easy they are to legislate away, and are willing to stand up and fight for those rights to preserve the rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for my children's generation.

In other terms, Patriots. Citizens who refuse to bend to the will of a government determined to oppress them.

I find it very disheartening (but not surprising) that the greatest threats I may face in my life may be from domestic enemies who are sworn to serve this nation and uphold the Constitution, as opposed to the foreign ones I fought who couldn't give a damn about it.

I know it's easy for you to sit there and not even consider the sacrifices others have made so that you can relax in the comfort of your home with a warm bed and a roof over your head, with dependable sources of clean water, bathroom facilities, food and energy at your fingertips and vast amounts of technology and distractions for you to immerse yourself in; and never have to worry to much about it being taken from you because there are police out there trying to maintain law and order. You take for granted how easy it is to just hop in a car, on public transit or on your bike, and go wherever you please without having to explain to anyone the reason for your travels or where you are going. You even take as a given that the roads will be passable, in excellent condition in most cases, traffic controls will work properly, bridges will be in good repair, etc. In most cases, if you get hurt, you know there is a hospital within reasonable distance, and a reliable Emergency Medical Service to transport you. You can call the Fire Department when you have a fire; and 911 service for all of it? How convenient is that?

Did you ever stop for ONE MINUTE and think about WHY our country has so many conveniences? Or WHO gave years of thier life and in many cases, their very last breath to ensure you can sit there without concern for any of it, get high and take it for granted?

I didn't think so. And I don't hate you for it, I pity you.
