problem
First thing i would check is tip over sensor,check your grounds.I had simmilar problem(my bike would not die but FI light would come on and bike would hasitate)turned out my negative battery cabel was loose,but you already had your battery out .Next i would check all fusess.If you have owners manual there is procedure how to check fuel pump relay.You can also activate fuel pump by jumping it right at conector with jumper wires(not big automotive wires) and your power tool battery or your bike battery this way if pump starts running you can eliminate pump,than you have to check wires(powers,grounds,etc)it is proces of elimination!!!
