I can only speak for myself, and I don't have a problem with his asking price per se, as long as he realizes that the market in general is incredibly soft. I don't expect him to lower the asking price, that is his business. The market will decide what the bike is worth. What he paid for it is irrelavent, what it is worth now is what matters.
He did come across as a bit of an arrogant prick however, his offer to allow someone the opportunity to own this bike might rub people the wrong way for sure.
