I'm about to try the EVR on my new racebike (currrently running an STM EVO on my now retired racebike). There are supposedly several design advantages - no spider spring, plates don't slip against each other generating less heat and plate wear, no need to grease the balls/ramps because there are none. Clutch packs aren't any more expensive than yoyodyne, the clutch itself is actually cheaper and should wear longer.
I'll report back after my first test and tune day next week. I'll be happy not having to clean and great a ball bearing clutch before the race weekends although my STM worked flawlessly for 3 seasons.. On the street it would seem to be even more advantageous.
