I don't think a 165 tire is going to fit your rim. You really need to match the tire size on the stock rim which was designed for a 180 rear tire. The 250 GP bikes have something like 4.5 inch rims which were designed for the 165 slicks.

Remember that any change in tire brand or size it is going to impact ride heigth and handling...
