No it was "24 Broadway" even smaller (1/4 the size) than The Sweetwater. A few years ago at Sweetwater some redhead kept stepping on my foot at the bar, I finally tapped her on the shoulder to ask her to chill, and when she turned around it was Bonnie Rait, she appologised and picked up our tab. Been to Mt. Tam about 5,000 times......try to do the "Sunday Morning Ride" several times a year, like to hike up there and used to "outlaw" hang glide up there till threatened with a "next time we lock you up and destroy yer toy" lecture....The "Mill Valley" song, yeah, I remember (barely!) it was like 30 years ago, it was a teacher and her class singing it, the wife STILL sings it when we roll thru town. If yer a Stones fan (who isn't?) a few years ago prior to their last tour, they we're rehearsing in S.F. for a month or so, one weeknight I stopped by Eli's Orbit Room (a blues dive in downtown Oakland to get a blues fix, after a few hours I needed to split (midnight on a work night........) so I get up to go, and who walks in this dive? KEITH RICHARDS!!!!! He was just dropping in to check the place out, NOBODY recognized him and his entourage ('cept me) I approached him, thanked him for providing the soundtrack to my life, and he graciously set me up with a round (which I gladly accepted) stuck around for awhile and split (no playin' that night ) Yeah, ya never know who you'll run into 'round these parts!
