RVTMAVERICK: Im using the OEM filter, I have no problem with adding a little more oil. I just wanted to get a second opinion on it. Every thread I read everyone was saying 4 quarts so when I put 4 in and she was still low thats where my concern came up. She fired up fine and the oil light never came on so Im sure the oil I added just pumped through the lube system and just needs to be topped off with a little more.

robfromsc: I def wanted to try the rotella, Im really thinking about it. $18 instead of $50, pretty sweet deal with more frequent oil changes! From what Ive read its good stuff BUT the issues I ran into were everything I read said use rotella C ....all I could find was rotella T ? i havent ventured into using other oils so i was a little scared to stick something where I had any doubts, in my bike. A few members go both ways (hahaha) on having their bikes sound like a can filled with bolts? Have you had any problems with excessive engine noise?

I was really expecting a slaughter house when I logged on to zilla this morning for the oil question, but surprisingly just good info.... I guess I wake up to early for the rest of the guys to put in their lol

Thanks again guys!
