Ah yes, the dreaded oil thread....
Use whatever you want. I've used 15W50 Mobil 1 in both my RC51 for 45k kilometres (25,000 miles) and my 999 for 12k km (7,500 miles). Its great and costs only about 7 bucks a litre. Not sure it has anything to do with the oil but I've yet to have to adjust a valve on either bike.
