Ya know,motorsports is about Man & Machine. For some the emphazise is on the Man part,which is the riding,racing, going the fastest ect. The bike is a tool for the job. For others its more about the machine. The satisfaction of owning,riding something you are passionite about. Something that you enjoy just looking at or working on.
I only do track days now and the biggest enjoyment is riding my tricked out project bikes that I have a passion for. Bikes I have spent hours on modifieing and developing. Much more time spent with them in the garage then on the track.
If my only choice for track days was a stock 5 year old clapped out 600 I probably wouldn't do them.
