The Swedish goverment foots the bill for medical/hospitals and all other costs when it comes to rehab, sick pay and possibly work re-education. The insurance companys foot the bill when it comes to the bike, and thatīs it.
Iīd want MY taxmoney to be spent on schools and other municipal stuff, not on some guy who figured it was "His right" to go blasting around without proper protection.
Dont get me wrong.. Do whatever you like, just donīt expect me to pay for it with my taxes when you get hurt. Which is what i do here in Sweden.. Which is the reason that helmets are obligatory...
Besides.. a funeral costs less then rehab.
