Hmm, I think at 19 he will not take kindly to this ... maybe keeping it at my house until he has his L's (thus done the course) might be a reluctant compromise.

I might also see if my neighbour (BMW rider) and his son (Honda 600RR rider ... had a big stack on the track, but atleast he was in the right place) can spare some time to chat with him ... ie. it's not me talking this time
