Back to the subject of the original post, TPO makes a kit for the DS1000 motors. If I had to bet, they made the one you saw. It replaces the airbox with custom air horns and K&N filters. They make two versions: Beast and Beast R. The Beast is better suited for street, gaining more power across the range. The Beast R has much bigger diameter air horns and larger K&N filters. They say it sacrifices a little on the bottom in favor of the top-end, and as such they recommend it for track use.

Additionally, a member of Ducati.ms, Wasp1000 (Greg), has developed a complete kit replacing the airbox with new air horns, K&N filters, and mounts for the breathers and coils. This was just announced today, and looks pretty cool. Greg has also made some neat tail light replacements and top-mount steering damper kits, and his work has been well-received by just about everyone who has tried it. You may want to check his stuff out as well.
