it would be absolutely lovely doing electronics labs wearing 5 grand worth of safety equipment and preaching atgatt at everyone who walks past me... i'd be held in the highest regard because i'm so smart.
be realistic here, that's all i'm getting at.
Your taking this personally..
Dont. It wasn´t meant to shame or to preach "the word of ATGATT". You asked a question/made an assumption and i answered and stating my reasons for going ATGATT.

As you can see above you post, there are fundemental diffrences in how we in Europe see motorcycling. You say "Be realistic" and I AM being.. You extremly seldom see riders in Sweden not wearing full leathers or full goretex gear. The same is true for most parts of Europe..

I´m not saying your not wearing enough protection, because that is for YOU to decide. All I´m saying is that "going down" is something i always think about when i decide what gear to ride in. Having gone down at 15 mph aswell as 100 mph, i can say that in both cases the full leathers saved by behind from both pain and rashes.. I probably would have survived both wearing only a t-shirt and jeans, but it would have been painful. Now i just hoped up and shook my head in disgust at my own stupidity.
