Squish, in essence, is the distance between your piston and the head when the piston is at TDC. The lower the squish, the higher the compression. The higher the squish, the lower the compression. I was told by Guy that I would need to run premium gas, but again, it would all depend on how much engine work you have done. The kit is a straight bolt on and the only thing that is required is that you check the squish to make sure you are at 1mm or more. As with anything, the more you do the better the performance will be (degrere cams, retard ignition, etc....). Hope that helps. Mike
