It's a little late to oppose something you made happen. That is the ultimate flip flop! First you were for trickle down, now you're against it? Blaming others is like Captain E.J. Smith blaming the steerage passengers or the ordinary seaman for the berg strike. The responsibility is square on Mr. Smith's shoulders. Obama is trying to avoid the right wing, "half filled life boats" response again! We saw during Katrina that GWB & Co. is a half filled lifeboats kind of guy.

I am not a huge gun control freak but when I look at America's record/behaviour and cost of "gun freedoms" I can understand how its attracting the anti gun zealots and begging for those wretched reforms. You know, when you say "mission accomplished" or "everything "fundamentally strong" you just know that the shit is gonna hit the fan. Yet, the right wingers do what they do and invite sweeping reforms and retaliations.... the pendulum swings.
To allow such numbers of people to be butchered by guns every year. It's like a small city get wiped out every season.
A law abiding man should be able to own and practice his gun if he chooses. However, if laws a relaxed enough to cause such numbers of deaths then... a compromise of some kind really should be on the table.
Try reading something other than frothing Limblogs regarding Canada being an axis of evil socialists. We're in pretty good financial shape and have some great protections for our citizen's health and freedoms. I dont know anybody complaining the way Americans are. I dont sense any great divide between left and right like you guys have. We havent let the tail wag the dog like you guys have. ... YET
We fear right wingism like you guys fear socialism. I dont see anything wrong with busting down a man's door if he's molesting his kids or beating his wife. I dont see anything wrong with banning Nazi/gay/immigrant/race hate speech or parades and calls for genocide. Fvck em, all they bring is the end progress and lay waste to all of the hard work of true Nation Builders. I really have no use for them and my country is better off stuffing jail down their toxic throats. On top of being destroyers, they cost more than they are worth.
The problem with human rights abusers is that they never stop. Their list of "unworthy people" is ever expanding and always justified.
We must always refine the laws and enforce them mercilessly.
