hyperduc, you're absolutely right. Unless I cut and reweld the shift arm like a guy over on ducati.ms did there is no way to do it using the stock stuff entirely. The shift rod pivot point on the shift arm is high up and causes clearance issues if your try and turn the rod downwards. I am thinking there must be a shift arm off of another bike that could be canabalised to do the job.
I have some rod end bearings and a few different length rods on order via a supplier I use at work. Now I just need the appropriate donor Jap bike.
