On the stimulus:
It's 50% bullshit that it will save the economy (but at this size it is bound to help). But there are also a lot of things in it that have needed attention for a while. 26% of our bridges are deficient. Our city schools are a failure. Etc. The best thing about it is that it is being spent here, not in the dessert, and not on price-gouging weapon systems. That is a HUGE improvement over the last eight years, to look on the bright side.
