So.. Someone put alot of money into an R1 and it was faster then a stock 1098.

Imagine that.

BTW.. A buddy of mine is selling his -05 R1 that was Öhlins former testbike.. Comes fully equipped with WSBK forks (impossible to buy outright), Rear suspension (impossible to buy outright) and steering damper. Yamaha France endurance tuned engine and full CF bodywork aswell as Brembo MotoGP wet-setup brakes (VERY hard to come by, but not impossible). Oh.. and 16.5" magnesium Marchesini rims with Bridgestone slicks (Need connections to buy).

He´s asking a price less then what a new base 1098 sold for in -07. So.. I mean.. The builder could have just purchased THAT and knocked the socks of the R1 he built for less money then he spent.
