I never said Ducati's were superior... I think thats the mixup here.

My point was simple. Riding on the street to prove a bike's worth is dumb and futile. The street bears no consistency or accuracy for "claims" of performance. Its all he-said, she-said and sure you can throw carbon bits on a bike and spend 50 hrs doing a paint job, but in the end its still all bling and nothing else.

The only way to test/compare motorcycles is on the track, with professional riders, willing to crash to prove the bikes worth. Since nobody has done that test, the whole thread is stupid and mute.

Thats my point...

I also agree with you that MOST Ducati owners are elitist... I get sick and tired of them spending tens of thousands of dollars on bikes that will eventually sit in a garage somewhere collecting dust. But in the modern day with the 848/1098 series, we're seeing some Japanese riding people who are finally stepping out of the closet and learning, there are other bikes out there, besides ones made in Japan...

I'm an usher of change... My pa bought a BMW after driving one of mine and my best friend bought a Ducati, after drewling over mine. LOL
