I have ridden an R6 and all 3 of the baby Superbikes on the track. As you know, I currently race a 749R. What I've learned is very simple, the fastest guys out there, don't ride Ducati's. They have zero intensions on riding Ducati and are very happy with whatever they're riding. I recently met a chap on a 749RS that destroyed everybody in the heavyweight twin's class, even the 1098's! Thats an awesome rider on a good bike...

If you were to take the fastest guy out there and put them on a Ducati, I have a strong feeling they'd do the same pace as whatever bike they already had.

i also know or a few guys on old slow 51's who dispatch 1098's so what?

these are street bikes and you just stay pinned on WSBK and now you are going to tryto trump me with your track ability, has nothing to dowith the post, what's next your bike is worth more or you can beat me up?

sad to say one of the biggest reasons i do not own a ducati is because of most of its owners i see them every weeked talking chit about how superior their bikes are and how it is great to be better than rice burners and jap bikes etc. I don't want to be involved with that mentality and i know whatyou are going to say is, that is what poor people say who can't pay for a ducati right? amazing how i can peg the comments b4 they come

i know of a few real nice guys who happen to own a ducati and they will not be here, nor blathering on about how great they are to feel justified in their purchase either. I happen to like some of the ducati line and have contemplated buying one for years but their reliability, cost of ownership, and fellow owners are what keep me away not that the elite care

i am glad you race and i would love to see your bike and i support the sport but i could care less if your bike is superior to mine because it says ducati, not my gig
