Bro, have you ridden your own (not borrowed) modern Ducati on the track? All you know is what others tell you, which as you know is usually hearsay until you try it yourself.

I have ridden an R6 and all 3 of the baby Superbikes on the track. As you know, I currently race a 749R. What I've learned is very simple, the fastest guys out there, don't ride Ducati's. They have zero intensions on riding Ducati and are very happy with whatever they're riding. I recently met a chap on a 749RS that destroyed everybody in the heavyweight twin's class, even the 1098's! Thats an awesome rider on a good bike...

If you were to take the fastest guy out there and put them on a Ducati, I have a strong feeling they'd do the same pace as whatever bike they already had.
