Hey Doug,

Nice 1/4mile numbers man,.. especially if you haven't or don't do much drag racing...

Now My on the 390lbs... I find that really hard to believe (I am NOT saying your lying) I just think that scale might be off alittle , that's all and let me tell you why,... You've got OEM rims and by your own acount, you've done nothing with the wiring harness,... You've got OEM Disc brakes, You've got OEM rads. minus 1 fan,...

Your "rear" disc brake looks like it "might have" been drilled to make it lighter,(hard to see with this picture) but you've added weight too, with your frame sliders,... that's STILL, extra weight gained ... You're still running the OEM seat... & OEM brake and lever... but the Clutch Lever I'll question since I can't see it?

So what is Obvious weight reductions, #1 Race body work, = #2 NO head lights. #3 Your Slip-ons, #4 You've got Clip-ons and Rear-sets both of those drop weight, #5 No blinkers, I'm guessing with this one> #6 "No brake lights"?

The Air Box... Thorsten's and Brett's airboxes drop some good weight, 7lbs!.. Yours "moriwaki carbon airbox" I don't think it can be as light as the previous 2 but good weight saving all the same.

Doug, have you done the "Small Battery" mod.? 3 to 4lbs just with the batt. right there, ready to be got, if you haven't already, (You SHOULD do it, the batt. mod. min., since you're tracking her!)and IF you do "JUST" the batt.cables and the small things with the batt. you're talking another 1.5 to 2, 2.5lbs ...
Looks like you're running the OEM shock as well? After market shock,"Ohlins" anyhow drop some weight... others I don't know..

I just don't see her being even close to 390lbs,.. I could believe maybe 430,.. 420s pushing it... Unless fairings and heahlights alot heavier then I remember...

Doug, Would you like to weight her on a good = Accurate scale? Let me know,....

After writting this all out, then it hits me... You said "with 1/2 a tank of gas".. still naaa "Maybe 420"...maybe. hahahaaa
I'm saying this because, I've Studied Thorsten's RC51 which was right at 390lbs,.. and he put alot of Thought and Work into it, big time on How to get it there,.. Wasn't easy at all,...

OH yeah, don't forget the "coil mod." eh Metal-Man.. Hahahaaa
Peace
