Thanks so far, however, this is the only thing I have found so far:

"NOTE: 4v motors have a whole different set of clearances, on the looser side of the 2v. I am only listing them here as
reference.

Intake openers: .003"-.005"
Exhaust openers: .005"-.007"

Intake closers: .000"-.004"
Exhaust closers: .000"-.004" "

I'm not sure this is it. And it also doesn't state if this is to be done with belts loose or tight. When I convert these to milimeters I get:

intake openers: .076 to .127
Exhaust openers: .127 to .179

intake closers: .0 to .10
exhaust closers: .0 to .10

I know the Europeans like to work with more whole numbers so:

intake openers: .08 to .13
exhaust openers: .13 to .18

closers as stated

Does this seem right? I've found plenty of reference for the the 2V motors but not a whole heck of lot for the 4V motors. Anyone that has a 996 motor and has done their own maintainance, your guidence would be very much appreciated. BTW the info came from here:

Ducati Suite- Valve Adjustment

Again for the 2V motor, but everything should apply to my motor except for the distances.

Thanks again for any help.
